JILL JOHANNSEN
Yesterday, July 21,2007 my son Jeff Johnson, my daughter in law Kelly and grandsons Josh and Joseph and I started the long drive from West Covina to Coronado to pay our respects and a final farewell to our friend Jill Johannsen.
What a great tribute to Jill that a lot of the parents of her friends attended the services.Many in attendence were from Jill's swim team days at South Hills. I can still see her in the yellow and white tank swim suit jumping up and down and cheering on her team mates to win.
There were classmates from West Covina High School.It did not seem that it was 30 years ago that we all sat close to each other in the bleachers and tried to see our kids on the football field recieving the reward for years of hard work.
Jeff and Jill and "Butch" and all the rest of the graduates
are frozen in time forever safe in our memory.
We will miss you Jill but you will never be forgotten. Your smile and great attitude will always be remembered.
